Ramadan

A cultural program by the students of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning explains the significance of the most holy ninth month of Ramzan, or Ramadan. Practicing the principle of self control, Muslims fast from dawn to sunset. Also bhajans by the students.

Dasara part 1

Dasara celebrates the triumph of Rama over the evil king of Rakshasas, Ravana. This ten-day ancient fire ceremony also worships Devi, the divine mother, in her many forms. Part I is of the beautiful rituals and practices at Puttaparti.

Krishna Birthday!

The evening program consists of songs by students. First the Anantapur women, then the Prasanthi Nilayam men.

Overseas concert

This video begins with shots of Bhagavan Baba in the Purnachandra in Prasanthi Nilayam. There is a short talk on the eastern and western kinds of music. Devotees are then treated to a classic piano concert, with works of Chopin, Mozart, and others.

Guru Purnima!

After a treat of bhajans by the college boys, we see part of the distribution of tricycles to the handicapped. Indulal Shah and Michael Goldstein give short speeches. We then have excerpts of Swami's Guru Purnima discourse and Arathi.
